July- Stretching, Grandpa Cox & Aunt Jackie, Trenton Slumber Party

Grandpa Cox and Aunt Jackie came to visit us for a couple of days. We had so much fun eating out, watching movies, and going to the zoo. For Meira's b-day gift grandpa gave Meira a giraffe family that she plays with constantly. She loves anything that is a family and she always labels mommy, daddy, and baby to her toys, rocks, books...basically everything. It's so cute.

Cousin Trenton is such a good cousin! He is so loving and kind and we have all the trust and confidence in him with our girls.

July Trip to Liberty Park in SLC

Some sister snuggle buggle time. These two already love to play together. They make each other laugh and daddy and I laugh at them. Our family has lots of fun laughing together.

We went to Liberty Park in SLC to go to the fountains. It is the most fun place for kids to play when it is hot. There are 7 different fountains that zigzag down the hill.

July- Great Grandma & Grandpa Cox Visit

Great grandpa and grandma came to visit us for one night. While we were all asleep some punk came and threw a rock through their back window and it took a week to get their window fixed. We loved having them with us longer. We hope they never find out it was really us who broke their window. ;-) j/k

Reagan loved grandma.

Meira loved grandma. They read together, played Play-doh together, danced together, played ball together. There isn't much these two didn't do together.

July- Beauty Shop & Lake Trip

Grandma surprised Meira with her own little beauty shop. They put on make-up and nail polish. Mark wasn't too thrilled with his little girl being so grown up.


I love this face!!! Meira was puckering her lips to show how beautiful she was with her makeover. I couldn't stop laughing and I had to wonder if she sees me do that in the mirror. If you ever catch me please let me know. ;-)

Reagan Joelle Taylor is Born

Introducing Reagan Joelle Taylor! She was born after 4 hours of labor on June 14th, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 and 3/4 inches long. Here she is getting her first real stretch after being curled up inside mommy for so long. She looks pretty content, huh?

Mark and I worked together to prepare for our 2nd natural/drug free birth. We took Bradley Method classes (which we love and highly recommend) and Mark was my trained on being my birthing coach. He did an amazing job and all went really well. Reagan was born alert and healthy. Here are her wide eyes just hours after she was born.

Visitors came even though they couldn't see or hold Reagan in person. Thank you Simmon's family.

Unfortunately Reagan swallowed some meconium at birth which caused her to have labored breathing and her oxygen levels to drop. She wound up going to the NICU at the UofU Hospital after the nurses at our hospital could not place an IV for antibiotics. She stayed in the NICU for 6 days and was finally able to come home a week after her birth. Although this was challenging for us we felt really blessed after seeing some of the other babies who were born at 1 lb. 8 oz. or worse. Thank you mom and Lesli for helping us out so that we could travel to and from the hospital all week long.

Grandpa Rayback and Grandma Lily Rayback came to visit and brought us dinner.

Meira visits mommy in the "hospitable." Poor Meira had to wait a whole week to see or meet her sister for the first time.
