Random Summer Happenings...

Meira discovered glasses and really likes them.

Daddy's special red plate for his birthday.

Daddy's Birthday! Breakfast for dinner and the red plate treatment. We love brinner (breakfast for dinner).

Salt Lake County Fair with Grandma, Reuben, Molly, Lesli, Mommy, & Daddy.

This is the rodeo after the fair. Daddy, Les, and Meira went home, but we stayed. It was so much fun! I put these pictures in because the guy behind us was funny and tried to get in our pictures. You can see him in both. We took a few pictures because I couldn't fit us all in holding the camera.

My mission companion, Sister Andrus', wedding.
My birthday at Sundance.

Mom stretching between talks at a women's conference she took me to for my birthday. We had such a good time. Our friend Karen was with us also.

Meira discovered she really likes ketchup at Maddox with the Taylor family for Mark and Rachel's birthday dinner.

Trenton builds a fort at Nana & Papa's house. Meira really liked it too.

Community Activity

There is a beach at our lake near our home where a community event was held. They served lots of yummy food and had live music. It was a lot of fun. We felt like we were on vacation. A freak storm came in right at the end and nearly blew the tent away. I got some cute pictures to share before that happened.

Family photos, trips, boo-boos, fun & more...

Hi! How's everyone's summer going? It's hard to believe that summer is winding down. Here are a few of the things that we've been doing the past month and a half. We hope that you are well and will let us know your updates as well. We love you so much.
Love, Mark, Rachel, & Meira
P.S. Be sure to click on "older posts" to see the full update.
Meira's one year old pictures and family portraits. Feel free to print these out. We bought the copyright. At 14 months old Meira is walking very well. She says many words including "hi," "baa" (ball), "ba-ba-ba-ba" (balloon), "Graker" (tractor or cracker depending on the situation), "Papa," "Nana" (for Nana or banana), "eye," "tee" (tree), "ky" car, and many more words and names. We think she is pretty smart.

Snowmass, CO & Arches National Park

We got to go on a family vacation with daddy. Mark travels a lot to do conventions or speak. This past week Mark had a convention in Snowmass, CO right by Aspen. Meira and I got to go with him for a few days. We went to an outdoor concert which you can see in this picture. It was muddy though because it had been raining. Gorgeous! Oh, by the way, we saw a 25 million dollar home for sale if anyone is interested.

Maroon Bell Mountain in Aspen was one of our favorite spots. The mountain is said to be one of the most photographed in the world.

The water was so clear blue-green that you could see the fish right through the water.

One of Mark's favorite spots in the whole world is Arches National Park in Moab. We stopped there as part of our trip. It was so much fun. I don't know what was more enjoyable, to see how giddy Mark was, or to see the arches for myself. I am glad we could finally go as a family.

The rock on the end looks like a popsicle to us.
